When So-yang's family learns that she has taken time off from school, there is a great upheaval. But Mi-yang, the oldest daughter decides to investigate into her younger sister's life and find out what happened. She finds out that So-yang saw her first student demonstration before she could even begin to enjoy life on campus. And through her high school classmate Myung-joo, So-yang joined an activist group. But in their first street demonstration, she realized her own weaknesses and this was the beginning of her
troubles. So-yang broke up with the arrest of her senior activist and ended her tedious relationship with Hee-joong. She also became repulsed by Myung-joo's inadequate logic. While the family is occupied by Mi-yang's wedding preparations, So-yang, who had been watching the demonstrations and failing to take care of her health is later found dead on the campus of the beloved school she had to leave.
